Before wearing or after an extended period of non-use, the movement must be set in motion by winding the crown (1) clockwise in its normal position.
Setting the Time:
To set the time, pull the Winding Crown (1) into position 2 and turn it counter clockwise. Keep turning the crown forward till the hands pass 12 o'clock midnight and the date displays advances. Then continue to turn the crown till you set the correct time. This will assure a correct setting of your watch in relation to AM/PM.
After the time has been set, the watch is set in motion by pressing the Winding Crown (1) into its normal position.
Setting the Date:
Do not set the date of your watch between 8 pm and 2 am. This will seriously damage the movement and such damage is not covered under the warranty.
Pull the Winding Crown (1) into position 1 and turn it clockwise to change the date setting.
The Time Functions:
By pressing the Start/Stop Pusher (8), the chronograph is set in motion. Pressing the same pusher chronograph again stops the chronograph hands allowing you to read the stopped time with a precision of 1/5 second. After pressing the Star/Stop Pusher (8) again, the hands will continue to move (addition measurement). Start-Stop-Star operations can be carried out as often as required.
By pressing the Reset Pusher (9) when the chronograph has been stopped, all three-timer hands are reset to zero.
